The connection to a hyper-memory, decay, and fear of losing one’s own. A reversal of time, as dementia creates new spaces and a sense of place once inhabited and wipes over the new. (Self)redacted fictions recalling the fantasied, half-forgotten, distinct yet inconsequential memories. Spacio-temporal recollections disrupted by the fallibility of the human encoding, storage, and retrieval process. Temporarily ceased, a return to decaying states for the Datsun Sunny 120Y (un-car).

	Light YearsFeb 2024
The Crypt Gallery, London

Evolving from a re-found publication, Light Years was conceived from interrelated gestures and rigidly formed diagrams.; an unconscious navigation with a sense of place as guided by the lure of cosmological chaos. An installation of time, space, and personal histories and the impossibility of hearing or documenting the distance light has travelled from particular observable points since. A repeated decision process of a childhood technique. (Re)tracings of constellations, an evocation and connection to the self.

July 2023
Martyn Riley / Elliot Buchanan / Benjamin Harrison
The Swiss Church, Soho, London

Caving is an investigation into archaeoacoustic histories of resonance and how the relationship between sound and space can allow access to the divine. The sound installation is a negotiation between the acoustic properties of The Swiss Church and its resonant frequencies to create complex harmonies and resonant entanglements.

‘Iconic speeches sometimes can be useless or not helpful in terms of what the speaker demands. However powerful the speech is, it doesn't really make much difference after it is given - it has significance, but no improvement in the situation. Sometimes people get radicalized not because they want violence, rather, it’s a result of that no one cares when they are nice and polite. I recognised the agony in those speeches, and try to eliminate the subject or nouns that specify what the original speech mentioned – to show how these speeches share the same fierce and frustration’
